Hi Clint:
Rae and I really enjoyed fishing with you. One of the things that is most important to me is that we work with guides with high ethical standards - and you are spot on. We both learned a great deal from you and now have to put what we learned into practice.
Here's wishing you the best. We look forward to fishing with you again at some time in the future.

I had the opportunity to fish with Clint Goyette on June 29th. I was with Phil Bagley and myself,
Ron Kocher. We had a great time with Clint and wanted to thanks him for his patience with us novice
fly fishermen. He worked with us and in only a few minutes he had us looking like pro's.
Thanks again Clint and if I ever get back to Whistler I will be sure to call you.
Ron Kocher - June 2009
Hey Clint-just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the fishing trip.
Your knowledge of the area, expertise in technique, and patience with a novice steelheader was exemplary.
It has been a week since that brilliant day on the Squamish and the smile is still glued on my face! Thanks again for
putting me on my first steelie and I look forward to my next BC fly fishing adventure with you.

Hi Clint,
Back in the grey UK and dreaming of Canadian rivers. Thanks for the links to the pics.
I wanted to thank you, again, for the extremely patient and thorough teaching that you offered -
I learnt more in those 3 days than I have in the 3 years that I've been playing with fly fishing.
I will be back!

I've enjoyed two trips with Clint Goyette of Valley Fishing Guides on the
Squamish River, BC. With breathtaking scenery all around, the river is
nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, a convenient 1.5 hour bus-ride from
downtown Vancouver. Clint is a highly capable guide and fly-casting
instructor, and I learned new techniques working with sink-tip lines over
some excellent water. I can say that those bull trout are incredible
fighters! I'm looking forward to my next trip sometime soon!

Clint: Thank you again for a great day fishing. I have fished all over Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Utah and Alaska, and no place is as beautiful as the Upper Squamish Valley was yesterday. It's hard to imagine, but you enabled me to walk right up to the river and hook the fish of a lifetime after less than half an hour! The wolf tracks, the eagles, the incredible mountains .....you are a great guide and I thank you for a memorable day.
Vic Henry, Squamish Fly Fishing Trip March 2009
I really had a good time. Please give Brad my regards, he is a top-notch guide in my opinion (and I have fished quite a bit).

Dylan and I had a great time and it truly was the trip of a lifetime! It is difficult to describe to anyone how incredible the lodge and the river are. The service and friendship shown by everyone at Chilko was tremendous and it was a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The memories will last a very long time!!!!
Your guiding was great and I am so appreciative that you spent so much time with Dylan and helped him to catch fish. Dylan is already planning our return!
Thanks again.

Holland, Chilko Lake Resort Trip June 2006
An incredible experience, the trip was the highlight of our
Vancouver trip. We made
contact on a Monday from Ireland via email, and were fishing
the following Sunday. Emails were answered quickly and everything
that was promised and more was delivered. Clint arrived at
the hotel in downtown Vancouver at 7.00 am and we were on
the Cheakamus River fishing by 9.00 am. The scenery was spectacular,
bald eagles feasting on the remains of the salmon run framed
by snow capped mountains. We drove through Native American
communities on logging roads passing through old mining towns
and crossing lots of fishy looking rivers. The rivers were
so unlike anything in the UK or Ireland, the Cheakamus was
an unsual emerald colour and the Squamish was a fast flowing
river with braided channels teaming with Dolly
Varden Char in February, I can't imagine what the salmon
run must be like. Clint was knowledgeable, patient and unobtrusive
and the trip felt as much like a good wilderness excursion
as a fishing trip. With the advantageous exchange rate at
the moment, the trip was incredible value, especially considering
we were kitted out with top end kit, including neoprene waders
and Sage fly rods and reels. I'm already
saving to return for the Salmon
run...see you then!!
Clint, thank you again for showing us the ropes on our 3-day trip in August.
Despite the rain, it was collectively the best fly-fishing we have all done!
We were impressed by your knowledge and expertise, and enjoyed your company.
Everything about your operation was first class and the Pitt River
was a perfect place for a fishing trip. I look forward to coming back and
using you again.
Our fly fishing trip was awesome! Clint was an excellent instructor and improved both of
our casting skills immensely. The fishing was excellent and the scenery was breathtaking.
Our best day at fishing started with a flight on a float plane to a remote majestic lake (Spruce Lake).
We have fished Montana, Colorado and New Mexico, and have to say without a doubt the fishing was the
best we have ever experienced. We definitely intend to return next year , and hopefully many more years
after that.

Clint,
Just wanted to let you know that Bryan and I had a great time on March 12th fishing the Squamish with you.
Thanks for taking the time to not only provide equipment and transportation but
quality teaching for two novice fly-fishermen. I was more than pleased with the trip
and have shared the pictures with many of my friends. Next time we're in
Whistler we will give you a call to go Salmon fishing.
Here are some of the pictures you requested that we send you.
Hope to see you soon.
Spent a day on the Squamish with Clint from Valley Fishing
Guides and fishing could not have been better. Clint is a
great instructor and taught me a tremendous amount about fly
casting that I will take home and use every time I go fishing
in the future. The weather was beautiful which just added
to the great fishing experience. Clint is very knowledgeable
about the Squamish and the fish that inhabit the river. When
I come back to B.C. in the next year Clint will be the first
person I call. Thanks again for a great day of fishing!
I want to give
a big thumbs up to Dan for a great day of chum fishing on the Squamish
on Halloween day. The day was anything but spooky as the weather,
river conditions, chum salmon run, and terrific guiding by Dan made
for a memorable day. It was my first experience flyfishing for salmon
and it was very challenging and rewarding as we landed several "big
dogs" that were just beautiful. We are known for our great
trout fishing here in Montana, but there is no where else I would
want to go for great salmon fishing than in big and beautiful BC.
A kudos also to Clint for a great and informative web site and getting
me scheduled on the river with Dan. I would highly recommend Valley
Fishing Guide service.
Fishing on the Pitt River was a fantastic experience that I would love to repeat.
The scenery flying in and while fishing along the banks is spectacular.
The stillness that wraps around you as you watch the helicopter fly off reinforces
the fact you are truly out in the wilderness. Trudging up and down the sometimes
placid and sometimes roaring river was exhilarating. The expertise, patience and
sense of humor of the guides from Valley Fishing made me glad I had chosen their
company. They were very attentive, always there when you needed help, and close
by when you just wanted to fish. I learned so much about fishing and reading rivers
in that memorable day. I would highly recommend Dan and Clint-they are great fishermen
and fun to be with.

Thanks for the
most amazing 2 days of salmon fishing I've ever had! Dan was an
excellent guide and made my time on the Squamish River productive
and exciting. I'd been fly fishing for years for trout on the rivers
of the Western United States but had never fished for salmon. Dan
built on my previous experience and by the end of my trip I felt
I was catching the fish and Dan was there cheering me on (much needed
when my arm felt like it was going to fall off). Dan and I fished
for 2 afternoons and I landed 14 and hooked up over 25 times in
2 days while the rest of the folks on the river caught at most 1-2
fish! Between the two of us we landed over 26 fish and even had
a double header! I highly reccommend Valley Fishing Guides to anyone
looking for a great time on the rivers/lakes of B.C.

I spent the
best part of a weekend flyfishing with Dan from
bellyboats on Green Lake. Despite blazing hot sunshine in a cloudless
sky, Dan put me right where the fish were and gave me plenty of
good tips on how to catch them. We had a great time fishing together,
catching good-sized rainbows, kokanee and one unforgettable lunker
of a dolly varden that came my way (I thought I`d hooked a log!).
All the best to you, your company and
most of all, my fishing companion, Mr. Dan Larsen.

Back in the balmy state of North Carolina at last. Thanks again
for a very adventurous trip in BC--one to remember! I'm eager to
see the ones you were able to get with your own cameras, as is my
old man. I need to entice him with some shots of large Dolly's and
Bulls...Again, thank you for all your guidance, help, and endurance
to the cold. The experience truly added to my "lust" of
fly fishing.

Smashed knuckles,
bruised palms in freezing 4 degree rain, but we landed (and released)
70 20-30lb salmon in 8 hours. It was one of the most memorable days
of my life, and it took over a week to lose the grin.

What a great
trip! Thanks again for the marvelous fishing and Canadian hospitality.
The fishing was phenomenal and it's really fun fishing with guides
that are still giddy when they get a fish on. I can hardly wait
until I can make it back up north!

Jackie and I
want to thank you for a great afternoon. For those out there who
look to get the adrenaline flowing on Whistler's slopes, try the
rivers. There is nothing like fighting a Steelhead amid pristine
surroundings.

Our fishing
trip with Raybo was awesome! I had never fly fished before...........Raybo
gave me a quick lesson and I was catching
the monster chum all day! What a blast!
I've told all my friends about what a great time it was and we are
definitely interested in rebooking another trip with you at the
end of October of this year. I will contact you very soon to set
up another trip!

My
family had a Great Time with you fishing in August! The attached
pictures show the story. Your Sage equipment, attitude and knowledge
are the best I have experienced. Our family makes two fly fishing
trips each year for the last 26 years. We have experienced all kinds
of outfitters from horse pack trips, helicopters etc. My best recommendation
is that I will be back to fish again with Valley Fishing Guides!

This past summer
my husband and I had the opportunity to spend half a day with Valley
Fishing Guides. My husband had a great time fly fishing for the
first time. I worked on my photography skills while everyone else
was fishing. It was great to have a guide as my husband started
to learn the art of fly fishing I definitely would recommend Valley
Fishing Guides for the instruction, the great equipment and the
wonderful hidden lake.
